Mounting

How do i mount my new cabinwindows?

Here are some images to help guide you when you make a drawing of the holes in your boat for when ordering new windows. They also show how easy it is to mount them.

Additional instructions on mounting and drawing can be found further down on the page as a PDF file.

First you have to remove your old windows.

Then make a drawing of the hole in your boat.(Something to think about: If you have old screwholes in your boat, have in mind that the new frame need to cover those so you might have to cut in your boat.) Its best to be two people. Use stiff paper. One person holds the paper over the hole while the other one draws. Be sure to include as much information as possible on the drawing, such as which side is in/out, SB/port etc.

Mounting the new windows.

Seperate the innerfram from the outerframe. Put the window in place. The window is sealed with glue or a rubber strip, your choice. Screw the innerframe to the outerframe from inside the boat. Holes for the screws are already made in the frame.

The result.

Thats all. Its just that easy.
All cabinwindows is delivered with a complete set of screws and rubberstrips to match your hull thickness. Retighten the screws after a month. Dont forget to lubricate the frames (same as you do with an aluminum-mast) 2 times/year.
